Information

The following definitions, for the purpose of this document and its related quality clauses, are in conformance with ISO 9001:2008:

·          “Contractor or Sub-Contractor” is the agency with which JPL has the Contract/Purchase Order

·          “Sub-tier Supplier” is any sub-tier to Contractor; “JPL” is the Jet Propulsion Laboratory

 

Requirement

The contractor shall comply with all the quality clauses imposed on the Contract/Purchase Order.

 

Requirement

All purchased materials and services shall be subject to inspection and test by JPL at all times and places (including the period of manufacture and prior to acceptance) to the extent practical.

 

Information

In the event materials and services are defective in material or workmanship, or otherwise not in compliance with the requirements of this Contract/Purchase Order, JPL reserves the right to reject or to require their correction.

 

Requirement

The contractor shall request and obtain JPL authorization prior to shipment of any non-conforming material. Non-conforming material shipped without authorization to ship will be rejected and returned to Contractor.

 

Information

JPL may issue a Supplier Issue Notice (SIN) and/or Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) to the Contractor for purchased material and services that do not comply with the requirements of this Contract/Purchase Order.

 

Information

The contractor performance on this Contract/Purchase Order is reviewed at the JPL Supplier Quality Board (SQB) and any SCAR activity is a contributing factor in removal from the JPL Approved Supplier List (ASL).

 

Requirement

The contractor shall report changes affecting their listing in JPL’s Approved Supplier List including, but not limited, to the following information as promptly as possible to pqa@jpl.nasa.gov or (818) 393-7592:

·          Company Name

·          Point of Contact to JPL

·          Quality Management System

·          Address
